The Women Development Cell (WDC) in collaboration with NSS Unit 344 and IQAC of M.I Training College, Ponnani organized a health awareness programme titled “Empowering Women Through Health Awareness – Healthy Women, Healthy Future” on 9 March 2026 at 1:15 pm.
The programme aimed to create awareness among students about the importance of women’s health, preventive care, and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. The session also highlighted the role of health awareness in empowering women to lead confident and productive lives.

The programme began with a welcome speech by Shahana C.T., WDC Student Coordinator, who warmly welcomed the resource person, principal, teachers, and students. She emphasized the importance of organizing programmes that focus on women’s well-being and health awareness.
The introductory remarks were delivered by Dr. Silva P., WDC Coordinator, who explained the objectives of the programme. She highlighted the significance of educating young women about health-related issues and encouraged students to actively participate in the session.
The programme was presided over by Dr. Noufal P., Principal of M.I Training College. In his presidential address, he stressed the importance of health awareness and encouraged students to take responsibility for their physical and mental well-being.

The resource person for the programme was Dr. Rosni K. MS, Specialist Medical Officer (Sthree Roga) at Government Ayurveda Hospital, Ponnani. She delivered an informative and engaging session on various aspects of women’s health. Her talk covered topics such as menstrual health, hormonal balance, nutrition, lifestyle habits, stress management, and the importance of regular health check-ups. She also shared practical tips for maintaining physical and mental health and clarified the doubts raised by the students.
The session was highly interactive and informative. Students actively participated and gained valuable knowledge about maintaining a healthy lifestyle and addressing common health concerns faced by women.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Safvana, First Year Student, who expressed gratitude to the resource person, principal, coordinators, and all participants for making the programme a meaningful and successful event.
The programme successfully created awareness about women’s health and encouraged students to adopt healthy habits for a better future.
