MI Training College (MITC) Code of Conduct for Students
1. Discipline
- Respect and Courtesy: Students are expected to show respect and courtesy to all faculty, staff, and peers at all times.
- Punctuality: Arrive on time for all classes, seminars, and college events.
- Attendance: No absence is allowed during internal examinations, workshops, or other events conducted for the batch. Any absence should be communicated to the concerned authority in advance.
- Behavior: Any form of disruptive behavior, harassment, bullying, or discrimination is strictly prohibited.
- Compliance: Follow all college rules, regulations, and guidelines as set by the administration.
- Prohibited Activities: The college does not entertain party politics, anti-national, anti-institutional, or anti-government activities at any cost. The campus promotes democracy in student council elections and other matters as per the norms of the university.
2. Uniform
- Dress Code: Adhere to the prescribed uniform at all times while on campus. The uniform should be clean, neat, stitched, and maintained as per the instructions given.
- Identity Card: Wear the college identity card visibly at all times on campus and during travel. ID cards must be worn in and outside the campus during work hours.
- Exceptions: On special occasions or events, students may be allowed to wear alternative attire with prior permission from the administration.
3. Use of Mobile Phones
- Classrooms: Mobile phones are allowed only for academic purposes inside classrooms. For making any important calls or messages, permission must be taken.
- Common Areas: Use of mobile phones in common areas like libraries and study zones should be minimized to avoid disturbing others.
- Examinations: Mobile phones are strictly prohibited during examinations. Any violation will be considered as malpractice.
4. Cleanliness
- Personal Hygiene: Maintain high standards of personal hygiene and grooming.
- Campus Cleanliness: Keep the college premises clean. Dispose of waste properly in the designated bins.
- Classrooms and Laboratories: Ensure that classrooms, laboratories, and other facilities are kept tidy and equipment is handled responsibly.
- Food and Drinks: Consumption of food and drinks is not allowed in classrooms and laboratories. Use designated areas for eating and drinking.
- Toilets: Maintain cleanliness and use toilets gently.
- Canteen: Campus canteen facilities can be used during the interval time. In case of an emergency, permission must be obtained to use it outside these times.
5. Academic Integrity
- Honesty: Maintain honesty and integrity in all academic work. Plagiarism, cheating, and other forms of academic dishonesty are strictly prohibited.
- Assignments: Submit assignments, projects, and other coursework on time and ensure they reflect your original work.
- Examinations: Follow all examination rules and instructions. Do not engage in any form of cheating or misconduct during exams.
6. Respect for College Property
- Care for Property: Handle all college property with care, including furniture, equipment, and learning materials.
- Reporting Damage: Report any damage or malfunction of college property to the concerned authorities immediately.
- Library Resources: Use library resources responsibly. Return borrowed books and materials on time and in good condition.
- Parking: Park vehicles only in prescribed areas. No rash driving is allowed inside the campus.
- No Stickers: No stickers or posters are to be placed on walls or college property.
7. Extra-Curricular Activities
- Participation: Actively participate in college-organized extra-curricular activities and events.
- Conduct: Maintain decorum and represent the college positively during all extra-curricular activities, both on and off campus.
- Permission for Celebrations: Any celebrations must be planned and done after getting written approval for the itinerary and schedule.
8. Health and Safety
- Safety Procedures: Follow all health and safety procedures as instructed by the college.
- Emergency: In case of an emergency, follow the instructions given by college authorities promptly and cooperate fully.
- Ragging: Ragging is strictly prohibited. Any such actions may lead to serious consequences as per the rules.
9. Timeliness
- College Timing: Strictly follow the college timing. Arrive comfortably earlier before the class starts.
10. Conduct and Behavior
- Language and Behavior: No unparliamentary words, shouting, chaos, or disruptive behavior is allowed.
- Respect: Respect the national anthem, symbols, important monuments, and other significant entities.
- Gatherings: Unnecessary gatherings, crowding, shouting, arguments, and bullying are not allowed.
11. Use of Technology
- Academic Purposes: Campus Wi-Fi, internet, and computer facilities can only be used for academic purposes. No hacking or illegal activities are allowed.
12. Respect and Order
- Permission: Permission must be taken before entering staff rooms, classrooms, libraries, or meetings when arriving late or if no responsible person is present.
- Registers: Various registers maintained at the lab, library, office, etc., must be followed for their respective purposes.
- Movement Register: Use the movement register to mark in and out movements, available with the custodian teacher when moving outside the campus.
13. Grievances and Feedback
- Grievance Redressal: Use the college’s grievance redressal system to report any issues or concerns.
- Feedback: Provide constructive feedback to help improve college services and facilities.
- Complaints and Suggestions: Any complaints or suggestions must be registered through the respective systems.
14. Documentation and Certification
- Certificate Requests: When required, any certificates or documents from the office must be requested through the proper channel at least two days in advance.
15. Outside Interactions
- Outsiders: No outsiders are allowed on campus unless specifically permitted for events.
- Internships: While at schools for internships, students must follow the guidelines and norms provided by the school authority.
- Belongings: Do not use others’ belongings without their permission.
Additional Guidelines
- Outreach Activities: When students are taken outside for any outreach activities, field visits, trips, etc., the accompanying teachers’ guidelines must be strictly followed.
- No Gifts During Internships: During school internships, no gifts shall be accepted from any students at any cost.
