MI Training College Ponnani, in collaboration with the MITC Alumni Association, organized a webinar on the topic “Understanding Teachers’ Technology Integration: An Ecological Perspective” on 09 May 2026 at 7.30 PM under the initiative of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC).
The webinar was conducted with the objective of enhancing awareness about technology integration in education and understanding its ecological perspectives in the teaching-learning process. The session witnessed active participation from students, faculty members, alumni, and educators.
The programme commenced with a prayer rendered by Arifa K from the Physical Science Department. The session was effectively anchored by Shahana Sherin A from the English Department.
Dr. Ramitha Rahman PA, IQAC Coordinator, delivered the welcome address and highlighted the significance of technology integration in modern education and the importance of such academic initiatives in developing professional competencies among future educators.
The resource person for the session was Dr. Nandan P. A., Educational Consultant and Former Research Scholar at the Centre for Educational Technology, Indian Institute of Technology Bombay. He delivered an insightful presentation on the ecological dimensions of teachers’ technology integration and discussed the challenges, opportunities, and evolving role of digital tools in contemporary classrooms.
Following the session, Dr. Noufal P, Principal of MI Training College Ponnani, addressed the participants and appreciated the informative presentation delivered by the resource person. He also encouraged students and teachers to effectively utilize technology for enhancing educational practices.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Archana U V from the Social Science Department. The webinar was highly informative and beneficial for all participants, contributing to academic enrichment and technological awareness in education.
