The Women Development Cell (WDC) in collaboration with NSS Unit 344 and IQAC of M.I Training College, Ponnani organized an awareness programme titled “Nurture Your Mind, Empower Your Life – Empower your thoughts, transform your life” on 12 March 2026 from 9:30 am to 1:00 pm at the Seminar Hall, MITC.
The programme aimed to create awareness among students about the importance of maintaining a positive mindset and developing confidence to lead a balanced and successful life. The session focused on empowering students to transform their thoughts and improve their mental well-being.
The programme began with a welcome speech by Surya P, WDC Student Coordinator, who warmly welcomed the principal, faculty members, resource person, and students. She highlighted the importance of mental health and the need to nurture positive thinking among students.

The introductory remarks were delivered by Maneesha Manoharan A, Assistant Professor of M.I Training College, Ponnani. She explained the objective of the programme and emphasized that nurturing the mind is essential for personal growth and emotional stability.

The programme was presided over by Dr. Noufal P, Principal of M.I Training College. In his presidential address, he spoke about the importance of developing a healthy mindset and encouraged students to face life’s challenges with confidence and determination.

The resource person for the programme was Soumiya M S, Assistant Professor, Ansar Training College for Women. She delivered an inspiring and thought-provoking session on the power of positive thinking. She explained how our thoughts influence our emotions, behaviour, and overall success in life. Through examples and motivational insights, she encouraged students to develop self-confidence, manage stress effectively, and maintain a balanced lifestyle.

After the session, students shared their feedback about the programme. They expressed that the session was very motivating and helpful in understanding the importance of positive thinking and self-belief. The students appreciated the interactive nature of the session and mentioned that it inspired them to develop a more confident and positive attitude in their lives.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Sumayya, Second Year Student, who expressed her sincere gratitude to the resource person, principal, faculty members, and all participants for making the programme meaningful and successful.

Overall, the programme was highly informative and inspiring, helping students realize the importance of nurturing their minds and empowering themselves to lead a confident and balanced life.
