An awareness session on “Institutional Development and Quality Enhancement in Teacher Education” was organized by the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of MI Training College, Ponnani on 12 March 2026 at the IQAC Room.
The programme began with a welcome address by the Principal, Dr. Noufal P, who warmly welcomed the resource person and participants. He highlighted the importance of institutional development and maintaining quality standards in teacher education institutions.
The session was led by Mr. Arun M, Academic Auditor at SAARC Masts Tech Pvt. Ltd., Coimbatore, who served as the resource person. He spoke in detail about academic auditing, quality enhancement strategies, and institutional development practices. He explained the role of quality assurance mechanisms and the importance of proper documentation, evaluation, and systematic planning in improving the standards of teacher education institutions.
The session helped participants understand the significance of IQAC in promoting a quality culture and ensuring continuous institutional improvement. The programme was informative and interactive, allowing participants to gain deeper insights into maintaining academic quality and institutional growth. The session concluded with an interactive discussion, where participants clarified their doubts and shared their views on improving quality practices in higher education institutions
