On March 14, 2026, NSS Unit 344 and the CSILL India Foundation jointly organized a meaningful Iftar Meet at MI Training College, Ponnani, specifically for students from the college’s adopted village. The event served as a beautiful gesture of communal harmony and social integration, bringing together a diverse group of participants to share a meal and strengthen community ties.

The gathering saw a vibrant turnout, including a large number of students from the adopted village who were the primary guests of the evening. They were joined by dedicated NSS Volunteers and representatives from the CSILL India Foundation. Adding a unique academic and collaborative dimension to the event, interns from various other colleges also participated, providing a platform for cross-institutional interaction and the exchange of social service experiences.

The Iftar meet was not merely a ceremonial dinner but a core part of the institution’s Extension Activities and Institutional Social Responsibility (ISR). By hosting students from the adopted village, the organizers successfully created an inclusive environment where local youth could interact with college students, professional volunteers, and interns. This interaction is a vital component of the “Bridging Education” philosophy, as it fosters social confidence and a sense of belonging among the village students.

The presence of interns from multiple colleges highlighted the growing network of the CSILL India Foundation and its role in promoting social innovation among the youth. The event concluded on a high note of unity and gratitude, reinforcing the college’s commitment to the welfare and social development of its neighboring communities.
