A fundraising programme was organized at MI Training College, Ponnani on 26 February 2026 at 1.00 pm in the College Auditorium under the leadership of the National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit 344. The programme was conducted with the noble objective of extending financial support for the medical treatment of a young man suffering from a serious Liver related illness.
The programme began with a warm welcome and an explanation of the purpose of the initiative. The NSS Programme Officer, Ameen Farooq, addressed the gathering and emphasized the importance of compassion and collective responsibility in helping those facing medical hardships. He encouraged students to contribute generously and to develop a spirit of social commitment.
The Principal Dr. Noufal also delivered an inspiring message, appreciating the efforts of the NSS unit and the wholehearted participation of students and staff. He highlighted the role of educational institutions in promoting humanitarian values and social awareness.
Students, teachers, and non-teaching staff actively participated in the fundraising campaign. Through their generous contributions, a total amount of ₹50,000 was successfully collected and handed over for the medical treatment of the beneficiary.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks, expressing sincere gratitude to everyone who supported the cause. The event was a meaningful and successful initiative that reflected the unity, empathy, and social responsibility of the college community.
