One Day workshop

The “Bridging Education Project” recently conducted a comprehensive Life Skill Training Programme aimed at fostering personal and professional development. The event was a collaborative effort organized by the Centre for Social Innovations and Lifelong Learning (CSILL) in partnership with MI Training College (MITC), Puthuponnani, and the National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit-344. The program was held on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at the MI Training College campus.

Inaugural Session and Leadership

The program featured a formal inaugural ceremony led by prominent local and academic figures. The event was officially inaugurated by Smt. Soudamini, Chairperson of the Education Standing Committee of Ponnani Municipality. The session was presided over by Mr. P.T. Shihab, Director of CSILL, while Mr. Ameen Farooq, the NSS Program Officer at MITC, provided his presence and support. This high-level representation underscored the community and institutional importance of the initiative.

Key Resource Persons and Expertise

To ensure the delivery of high-quality training, the organizers invited several experts and foundation leaders. Key contributors included Muhammed Bilal, Administrator of the Miles Foundation, and Hamza Paramat, Coordinator of the Miles Foundation. Additionally, Shareefa served as a primary Resource Person. Their involvement provided the participants with professional insights and practical knowledge regarding life skills and social innovation.

Participant Leadership and Coordination

The program highlighted a strong element of peer-led training and student involvement. A dedicated team of lead participants was instrumental in the execution of the project, including Shareefa, Arifa, Rabeena, Shahana, Najma, Arya Nanda and Nafeeda. NSS Student coordinator Muhsina provided all the facilities for the program.By involving these individuals in lead roles, the “Bridging Education Project” demonstrated its commitment to empowering students and developing their leadership and organizational capabilities within a real-world framework.
