The Social Science Department of M.I. Training College, Ponnani organized a special assembly to observe International Migrants Day on 18 December 2025. The assembly was conducted with the theme “The Great Story – Cultures and Development”, highlighting the importance and contributions of migrants to society.
The programme began with the anchoring by Sumayya, followed by a prayer led by Suadha. The pledge was taken by Shahanas, reminding students of unity and human values. Ramseena presented the news, and the thought for the day was delivered by Bhavana, emphasizing empathy towards migrants. A holy thought was shared by Aneesa, and a KTET-related segment was handled by Fabidha. A meaningful presentation on migration and its social impact was presented by Praveena.
The assembly was coordinated under the guidance of Teacher-in-Charge Sheheena AM. The programme concluded with the concluding remarks by Silva P, who appreciated the students’ efforts and stressed the need to respect migrants and understand their role in cultural exchange and development. The assembly was informative, inspiring, and successfully conveyed the message of humanity and inclusion.
