MI Training College, Ponnani, under the initiative of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), organized a Book Review Competition in connection with World Book Day 2026. The programme aimed to promote reading habits, critical thinking, and reflective learning among students and school participants.
The competition witnessed enthusiastic participation from both college and school-level students. Participants presented insightful reviews of selected books, showcasing their analytical and interpretative skills.
In the college category, Jaseeba Bava of MITC Ponnani secured the first position, followed by Swaliha Yahya of KMCT College of Pharmacy, Kuttippuram, who won the second prize. Anagha VP of BRITE, Ramanattukara secured the third position.
In the school category, Arshad K of GBHSS Tirur won the first prize. The second position was shared by Aisha Zarah of NEMHSS Chemmad and Hana TH of MIGHSS Puduponnani, while Ayisha KM of DGHSS Thanur secured the third prize.
The programme successfully encouraged students to engage in meaningful reading and develop their reviewing skills. The organizers appreciated the efforts of all participants and emphasized the importance of reading in personal and academic growth.
The event concluded with congratulating the winners and motivating students to continue cultivating a love for books and lifelong learning.
