The Hiroshima Day Observance was organized by MANUSHI – Social Science Club on 6 August 2026 at the College Seminar Hall of M.I. Training College, Ponnani.

The programme commenced with a prayer sung by Nihla Rinu, Nimisha C. V., and Safvana A. M., invoking peace, harmony, and goodwill among all. This was followed by the pledge led by Hishana K. P., in which everyone pledged to work towards building a peaceful and better world.

The news reading was presented by Aparna P. V., who shared important national and international news. Amrutha then delivered the Thought of the Day, inspiring the audience to reflect on the importance of peace, compassion, and humanity. The Holy Thought was presented by Munsila Banu K. T., reminding everyone of the values of love, forgiveness, and brotherhood.

The gathering was then addressed by the respected Principal, Dr. Noufal P., Principal of M.I. Training College, Ponnani. In his speech, he highlighted the significance of Hiroshima Day and emphasized the importance of promoting peace, preventing war, and working towards a world free from violence.

As part of the observance, two meaningful activities—Documentation and Peace Wall—were organized. Students enthusiastically participated in both activities, expressing their thoughts, reflections, and messages advocating world peace and harmony.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks expressing gratitude to the Principal, faculty members, participants, organizers, and all those who contributed to the success of the event.

The Hiroshima Day Observance served as a meaningful reminder of the devastating consequences of war and reinforced the importance of fostering peace, unity, and mutual understanding. The event was informative, reflective, and inspiring, encouraging everyone to contribute towards building a peaceful future.
