The morning assembly of MI Training College, Ponnani was organized by the B.Ed English Batch (2026–2028) to mark International Tiger Day, observed every year on 29th July. The programme was conducted as part of the college’s Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) and NSS Unit No. 344 activities, with the theme “Their Survival Is in Our Hands,” drawing attention to tiger conservation, forest protection, and environmental responsibility.
The assembly began with the customary prayer led by Nitha, Shifna, and Shifa, followed by the pledge administered by Sainabi. Isana compered the programme as anchor, introducing each segment and speaker to the gathering.
Thahliya shared the thought for the day, after which Ajisha presented the news bulletin covering current happenings. Shalima delivered a holy thought to the audience, and Shajila gave a presentation highlighting facts about tigers, the threats to their habitat, and conservation efforts undertaken in India and across the world.
The programme reflected on the importance of protecting India’s national heritage and forests, reminding students that safeguarding wildlife such as the tiger is closely tied to securing the future of the environment as a whole.
