2. Date and Duration:The observation was conducted on JUNE 19 at 9:45 am. The Reading Day was organized as a part of an ongoing effort to enhance student literacy and develop a reading culture within the college.

The program was started by lighting the lamp and delivering an inaugural speech. He emphasized the importance of reading in today’s digital age and how it helps in expanding knowledge and enhancing creativity.
Following the inauguration, various sessions were conducted by renowned authors and educators. The first session was conducted by Dr. P. A Ibrahim, who spoke about the evolution of literature and the significance of reading in shaping one’s personality. His insightful talk motivated the students to develop a habit of reading.
Next, Ms. Parvathy Nair, an accomplished author, shared her experiences and journey as a writer. Quiz competition winners: Prarthana S from MES Irimbilium got first prize and Anamika Sunil from AVHS Ponnani got second prize. Ayisha Rinsha from MIGHSS and Fathima hiba from MES Irimbilium shared third prize.
Reading competition winners: Sooraja TS from ST Paul English medium school Pattambi won the first prize. Sreelakshmi KP who is studying in PNUP Kanhiramukku won the the second prize and Henna Sara who is student of TRKUP school Valanjery
5. Conclusion:The observed Reading Day at MI Training College proved to be a success in promoting and fostering a reading culture among students.
