The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of M.I. Training College, Ponnani organised an Orientation Programme on Learning Management System (LMS) for the newly admitted B.Ed. students of the 2026–2028 batch on 7 August 2026 at 1:30 p.m. in the College Seminar Hall.
The programme was organised to familiarise the new batch with the use of the Learning Management System and to help them effectively participate in technology-enabled academic activities. The session was led by Dr. Ramitha Rahman PA, Assistant Professor, M.I. Training College, Ponnani.
The resource person introduced the students to the concept and significance of an LMS in higher education. The session focused on understanding the LMS platform, exploring its key features, and engaging effectively with digital learning resources. Students were given guidance on accessing learning materials, receiving academic instructions, submitting assignments and participating in online learning activities through the platform.
The orientation also highlighted the importance of digital literacy and responsible use of technology in the B.Ed. programme. The students were encouraged to make effective use of the LMS as a platform for continuous learning, academic communication and resource sharing.
The programme was interactive and informative, and the new batch actively participated in the session. The orientation helped the students become familiar with the digital learning environment of the institution and prepared them to effectively use the LMS throughout their B.Ed. programme.
The programme concluded with appreciation to the resource person and the active participation of the 2026–2028 B.Ed. batch.
