On 5th June 2026, MI Training College, Ponnani, through its Nature Club,. THALIR celebrated World Environment Day under the theme “Plant for Mother Campaign.” The programme was conducted on the college campus from 12:30 PM onwards with the objective of promoting environmental awareness and encouraging students to take an active role in protecting nature.
Students, teachers, and club members enthusiastically participated in the various activities organized as part of the celebration.
The programme included a Tree Plantation Drive, a Poster Making Competition, and a “Find
and List Me” activity, where students identified and documented different plant and animal species found on the campus. These activities helped participants understand the importance of biodiversity conservation, afforestation, and sustainable living. The programme concluded successfully, inspiring everyone to contribute towards creating a greener and healthier environment.
