The first year B. Ed students of M.I. Training College, Ponnani, organized the Moon Day Celebration on 21st July 2026 at the College Seminar Hall to commemorate the historic Apollo 11 Moon landing and to create awareness among students about the significance of space exploration and scientific achievements.

The programme commenced with a prayer sung by Musafira and Shalima, followed the pledge by Ramsiya.The News reading was done by Shifana. The Thought of the Day, and Holy Thought was presented by Ajisha and Isana respectively. The session was anchored by Navya Bhaval.

As part of the celebration, Musafira delivered an informative presentation on Moon Day. The presentation covered the history of lunar exploration, the Apollo 11 mission, the first human footsteps on the Moon, and the role of space research in scientific and technological advancement. The session was engaging and enriched the students’ understanding of space exploration.

Following the presentation, an exciting Quiz Competition was conducted with two teams consisting of an equal number of participants. The competition featured thought-provoking questions related to the Moon, space missions, astronauts, and astronomy. Both teams actively participated and demonstrated excellent knowledge and enthusiasm throughout the event. After a closely contested competition, both teams secured equal marks and were jointly declared winners, reflecting their outstanding performance and team spirit.

The programme concluded with appreciation for all the participants and organizers who contributed to the success of the celebration. The Moon Day Celebration served as an inspiring platform to promote scientific curiosity, teamwork, and awareness about space exploration among the student teachers. The event was informative, interactive, and memorable for everyone present.
