The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of MI Training College, Ponnani, successfully organized the Inauguration of the Value Added Course on Artificial Intelligence for Modern Teachers on 12 January 2026 at 10:00 AM in the College Auditorium.
The programme began with a prayer, followed by a welcome address by Dr. Ramitha Rahman PA, IQAC Coordinator, who highlighted the growing significance of artificial intelligence in transforming modern teaching practices and enhancing educational outcomes.
The presidential address was delivered by Dr. Noufal P, Principal of MI Training College, who emphasized the importance of equipping teachers with technological competencies to meet the demands of 21st-century education.
The formal inauguration and keynote address were delivered by Mr. VKM Shafi, Senate Member of the University of Calicut. In his address, he spoke about the evolving role of artificial intelligence in education and encouraged educators to embrace innovative tools for effective teaching and learning.
Felicitations were offered by distinguished guests including Mr. A.M. Abdusamad (Secretary, MIA), Mrs. Praseena ARK (PTA President), Dr. Silva P (Assistant Professor), and Mrs. Soofiya Mol A.S (College Union General Secretary), who appreciated the initiative taken by IQAC in organizing such a timely and relevant course.
The course orientation session was conducted by Mrs. Drisya M, Academic Coordinator of Garvit Education Network, Ponnani. She provided an overview of the course structure, objectives, and expected learning outcomes.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Mrs. Ayisha Nusreen K, First Year Representative, expressing gratitude to all dignitaries, organizers, and participants for making the event a grand success.
