An orientation session was conducted on 18th June 2025 at MI Training College, Ponnani for the third semester B.Ed. students, with a special focus on the upcoming four-month school internship—a crucial phase in their professional training.
The session was led by Mr. Ameen Farook, Assistant Professor in the English Department, Dr. Ramitha Rahman, Assistant Professor in General Education and Dr. Silva P Assistant Professor in General Education.
The resource persons briefed the students on the structure, objectives, and expectations of the internship. Key areas such as lesson planning, classroom management, student evaluation, reflective journal writing, and professional ethics were thoroughly discussed.
The facilitators also highlighted the importance of discipline, effective communication, time management, and maintaining a positive professional image while working in real classroom settings.
The orientation served as a valuable guide, helping students approach their internship period with confidence, clarity, and a sense of purpose.
