The Fourth Semester Orientation for B.Ed. students at MI Training College, Ponnani was held on 15/01/2024. The session provided an overview of the semester’s objectives, with a special focus on academic, co-curricular, and professional development activities.

Faculty members detailed the fourth semester’s curriculum, emphasizing its practical and reflective components, including the following key activities:
- SUPW (Socially Useful Productive Work): Students were informed about the importance of SUPW in fostering creativity, skill development, and social responsibility. Specific project guidelines were shared, encouraging innovative contributions.
- Understanding the Self: A critical component focusing on self-awareness and personal growth was introduced. The session emphasized reflective practices and activities aimed at improving emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills.
- Workshop on ICT (Information and Communication Technology): Details about the ICT workshop were shared, aiming to equip students with modern technological tools and methods to enhance teaching-learning processes.
- Study Tour: The orientation also covered guidelines for the semester’s study tour, focusing on its role in experiential learning. Students were encouraged to actively participate and make the most of this enriching experience.

General Orientation in the Multipurpose Hall
The orientation for the common papers was conducted in the multipurpose hall. Esteemed faculty members, including Dr. Ramitha Rahman PA, Dr. Silva P., and Mr. Muhamed Shareef, who are responsible for teaching the general papers, addressed the students. They provided an overview of the common subjects, highlighting their significance in the overall B.Ed. curriculum. The sessions emphasized the need for developing a strong foundation in the core areas of education and pedagogy, which will aid the students in becoming effective educators.
Subject-Specific Orientation in Classrooms
Following the general orientation, students were directed to their respective classrooms for detailed sessions on their pedagogical subjects. The subject-specific orientations were conducted by the respective subject teachers:
