The 51st episode of the Literary Lens series, organized by the Literary Club of MI Training College, Ponnani, was held on 30th May 2025 at 7:30 PM through Google Meet. The session was graced by a special guest, Mr. Muhammed Shybeen, Chief Business Officer at Aldobi, Qatar. Notably, he is also the husband of Ms. Safuwa, a B.Ed. Mathematics student from the 2023–2025 batch at MITC.
Mr. Shybeen delivered a captivating presentation on Rejection Proof by Jia Jiang, a compelling work that explores the human fear of rejection and offers a transformative perspective on overcoming it. The book is based on the author’s personal experiment of deliberately seeking out rejection for 100 days, learning from each experience, and gradually reshaping his mindset.
Through his review, Mr. Shybeen highlighted the significance of embracing failure and rejection as opportunities for growth. He emphasized that rejection is not a reflection of one’s worth, but rather a doorway to resilience, creativity, and self-discovery. Drawing from both the book and his own professional experiences, he offered practical tips for dealing with rejection in everyday life and the workplace.
The session was highly interactive and well-received by participants, who found the topic deeply relatable and empowering. Mr. Shybeen’s articulate delivery, combined with his insights into leadership and motivation, added great value to the Literary Lens platform. The episode concluded with a vibrant discussion, making it one of the most inspiring and impactful episodes in the series.
