The 27th episode of the Literary Lens programme, organized by the Literary Club of MI Training College, Ponnani, was conducted on 15th November 2024 at 7:30 PM via Google Meet. The session featured Aswathi T.S., a B.Ed. student from the 2024-2026 batch, who presented a review of the Malayalam literary work “Innalathe Mazha” by N. Mohanan.

Aswathi began her presentation with an introduction to N. Mohanan, known for his poignant storytelling and realistic portrayal of human emotions. She provided insights into the context and themes of Innalathe Mazha, a narrative that delves into the complexities of memory, loss, and the passage of time.

The review focused on the profound emotional layers of the story, showcasing the author’s ability to depict human relationships and the inevitability of change. Aswathi highlighted the lyrical quality of Mohanan’s prose, drawing attention to his use of evocative imagery and symbolism, particularly the recurring motif of rain as a metaphor for cleansing, renewal, and nostalgia.
