The 47th episode of the Literary Lens review series, organized by the Literary Club of MI Training College, was held on 3rd May 2025 at 7:30 PM via Google Meet. The session featured Jaseena C.P, who presented a thoughtful and engaging review of the Malayalam novel Oru Kudayum Kunji Pengalum.
In her presentation, Jaseena delved into the nuanced portrayal of childhood, vulnerability, and the silent strength of girlhood reflected in the story. She brought out the symbolic significance of the umbrella and the presence of young girls as central to the narrative’s emotional impact. Her analysis touched upon the socio-cultural critiques subtly woven into the narrative and emphasized the relevance of the themes in today’s context.
