On January 13, 2025, the Physical Science department organized an assembly to celebrate Thiruvathira Day: The Festival of Feminine Grace and Devotion. This auspicious occasion, deeply rooted in cultural and spiritual traditions, honors the devotion of women and symbolizes marital harmony, prosperity, and the grace of femininity.

Anchoring and Introduction

The assembly commenced with a warm and heartfelt welcome from P P Ajna Sherin to all the teachers and students. The event began with a lively and energetic atmosphere as both teachers and students gathered to celebrate the day. The program included a prayer, pledge, news updates, a thought for the day, a holy reflection, and a presentation.

Prayer

The gathering began on a positive note with a heartfelt prayer, led by Nandana M, Hana M K, and Hasna Jasmine, setting a meaningful tone for the day.

Pledge

Hasna Jasmine led the Pledge, uniting everyone in a collective commitment to harmony and unity.

Farzana shared a thought-provoking message on the importance of tuning into our minds and trusting our inner instincts as a guiding force in life.

As part of the Thiruvathira Day: The Festival of Feminine Grace and Devotion celebrations, Asna T.K delivered an insightful presentation highlighting the cultural and spiritual significance of this auspicious occasion. She elaborated on the deep-rooted traditions associated with Thiruvathira, emphasizing its importance and its role in celebrating womanhood, marital harmony, and devotion.

Her presentation shed light on the special rituals observed during the festival, such as fasting, prayer, and the graceful Kaikottikali dance, performed by women to seek prosperity and blessings for their families.she effectively conveyed the essence of Thiruvathira, enhancing the audience’s understanding and appreciation of this cherished tradition.

The assembly took a moment to recognize and celebrate our C-TET winners, Ms. Anugraha Joshy P and Zain Abdul Waseem P.P. They were given the opportunity to share a few words about their remarkable achievement, inspiring everyone with their dedication and success.

The assembly concluded with a heartfelt address by Princy miss, who expressed her gratitude for everyone’s enthusiastic participation. She also  emphasized the significance of Thiruvathira Day, in Hindu mythology and also appreciated the winners.Finally she wrapped up the assembly by thanking everyone and wishing them a wonderful day ahead.
