The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) and Media Wing of M.I. Training College, Ponnani, successfully organized a one-day Technological Empowerment Training Program on 2nd September 2024. The program aimed to enhance the digital skills of educators by focusing on the creation of quality e-content.

Dr. Naseerali M.K., the esteemed Principal of MITC and a renowned author and trainer in educational technology, served as the resource person for the workshop. His extensive expertise and practical approach made the session highly engaging and informative.

Workshop Overview

The workshop commenced at 10:00 AM with an introduction to the importance of e-content in modern education. Dr. Naseerali emphasized the need for educators to be proficient in digital content creation to effectively meet the demands of contemporary classrooms.

Hands-On Training

Participants were provided with hands-on training in the following areas:

  • Video Editing: Techniques and tools for editing educational videos, enhancing visual and audio quality, and ensuring the content is engaging for students.
  • Creating Quality E-Content: Strategies for producing high-quality digital content that is pedagogically sound and visually appealing.
  • Recording of Videos and Audios: Practical sessions on recording videos and audios using various devices and software, ensuring clarity and professionalism.
  • Mixing of Elements: Integration of different multimedia elements such as images, audio clips, and animations into the videos during the editing process, making the content more dynamic and interactive.

Technical Knowledge

Dr. Naseerali also provided a detailed explanation of the various parts of a computer that are essential for e-content creation. Participants were introduced to a range of software available on both PCs and mobile devices for creating and editing digital content. The session included demonstrations of these tools, highlighting their features and practical applications in educational settings.

Conclusion

The workshop concluded at 04:00 PM with a Q&A session, where participants had the opportunity to clarify their doubts and seek further guidance from Dr. Naseerali.
