The College Union and Fine Arts Inauguration Programme of MI Training College, Ponnani was conducted successfully on 08 December 2025 in the college auditorium, beginning at 9:30 a.m. The programme commenced with a prayer by the college choir, seeking blessings for the smooth conduct of the event.

The Welcome Speech was delivered by Mrs. Soofiya Mol, the College Union General Secretary. This was followed by the Presidential Address by Mrs. Henna Fathima K, the College Union Chairperson. The Preface Speech was delivered by Dr. Noufal P, Principal of MI Training College, who highlighted the significance of student participation in cultural and co-curricular activities.
The Union Inauguration and Keynote Address was delivered by Prof. T. Mohamed Saleem, Member, Syndicate – University of Calicut and Principal, Farook Training College. Following this, the name of the College Union was officially revealed by Prof. T. Mohammed Saleem. In his speech, Sir, stressed the importance of teaching, the role of teachers in society and training college union members’ roles and duties different from other types of college.


Immediately after that, the Inauguration of Arts and the Name of the Arts Programme was revealed by Mr. Anandha Krishnan C, who is a violinist and an alumni of MI Training College.


The programme then moved to the Felicitation Session, where distinguished guests and faculty members were honored. Felicitations were offered by Mr. Mohammed Iqbal K. M., Deputy Superintendent, MI Association, Ms. Maneesha Manoharan, Fine Arts Director, MITC Ponnani. Then after that, there was sincere Vote of Thanks by Ms. Shahana Sherin, Fine Arts Secretary, expressing gratitude to all the dignitaries, staff members, and students for their valuable support and participation.


The Fine Arts Programme was officially inaugurated, marking the beginning of the artistic celebrations of the institution. This was followed by a musical performance by Mr. Anandha Krishnan C (Violin) along with Mr. A. R. Gregory (Keyboard). Their performance received great appreciation from the audience.

The Arts Programme formally began at 2:30 p.m. with a welcome dance by Anagha and Nandana. It was followed by a variety of individual and group performances presented by the first-year and second-year students, showcasing their talents in dance and songs.
The programme concluded at 4:00 p.m. The event came to an end with the National Anthem.The inauguration ceremony of union and arts programme were a grand success and stood as a true reflection of the unity, enthusiasm, and creative spirit of the MI Training College community.
