The morning assembly (17/10/25) of MITC Ponnani was conducted by the Social Science Department in connection with the International Day for the Eradication of Poverty. The program aimed to create awareness among students about the importance of eradicating poverty and promoting social equality.
The program began with the prayer led by Nandana and Najma, followed by the pledge by Nidha. The holy thought was presented by Naja Jasmin K.P., and the thought for the day was shared by Ramseena. The news reading was done by Archana. The program was anchored by Najma, under the guidance of the teacher in charge, Mrs. Shaheena. The poster for the event was creatively designed by Shaneer P.
As a part of the National Service Scheme (NSS) initiative, the amount collected through the recently held Food Fest was contributed to Shanthi Bhavan. The collected fund was handed over to the NSS Convener, Mr. Ameen Sir symbolizing the students’ active participation in social service and compassion towards the needy.
The assembly concluded with an inspiring message emphasizing that “Poverty is the worst form of violence.” The event successfully reminded everyone of their responsibility to help build a society free from poverty and inequality.
