The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of MI Training College, Ponnani, organized the Deeksharambh: Student Induction Programme for the new batch of 2025-2027. The programme, themed SAGE – SOCIALISING, Associating, Governing, and Experiencing, was planned for one week, from July 28 to July 30, 2025.
Session 1: Orientation
The first session began at 9:30 a.m. with an interactive talk on the theme “Teacher: A Social Reformer” by Sameera M.P., Assistant Professor, Government College, Nilambur. The session was formally welcomed by Ameen Farook U.K., NSS Officer, MITC, and concluded with a vote of thanks by Sheharban V.C. The speaker emphasized the transformative role of teachers in shaping society, highlighting how educators contribute beyond classrooms to build values, character, and social responsibility.
Session 2: Commencement of the B.Ed. Batch 2025–2027
The second session marked the formal commencement of the B.Ed batch 2025–2027. The programme began with a warm welcome address by Dr. Ramitha Rahman P.A., Assistant Professor at MITC, who extended greetings to the new students and introduced them to the spirit of the institution.


This was followed by the presidential address delivered by Dr. Naseerali M.K., Principal of MITC, who highlighted the vision of the college and the importance of teacher education in shaping society. The inauguration of academics for the new batch was officially carried out by C.A.M.A. Kareem, Convenor of the College Committee, who emphasized the role of commitment and perseverance in academic life.


The session gained further depth with the keynote address by V.K.M. Shafi, Member of the Senate, University of Calicut, who inspired the students by underlining the transformative potential of education and the responsibilities of future teachers.


Adding to the momentum, felicitations were offered by T.T. Ismayil, Executive Member of the M.I. Association, Mohammed Iqbal, Deputy Superintendent of the M.I. Association, and Sukesh T., Vice President of the PTA, who extended their best wishes and assured continued support and encouragement to the new batch.


Faculty Introductions
All teaching faculty members introduced themselves and provided an overview of the subjects they teach.
PTA Meeting
A parents’ meeting was conducted, during which new office bearers for the PTA were elected. The programme concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Sajna P.M., General Secretary, marking the successful beginning of the academic journey for the new entrants.
