MI Training College, Ponnani, observed International Yoga Day on 20th June with great enthusiasm and purpose, in collaboration with the Government Ayurveda Hospital, Ponnani. The event was organized by the NSS Unit of MITC, aiming to promote the physical, mental, and emotional benefits of yoga among students and staff.

The programme began with a warm welcome address by Bavana Bagyanath from the Social Science Department.

Ameen Farook, NSS Coordinator, delivered the presidential address, highlighting the significance of yoga in maintaining a healthy and balanced life.

The event was formally inaugurated by Dr. Ragi N, Chief Medical Officer at Government Ayurveda Hospital, Ponnani, who also delivered the Yoga Day message, stressing the harmony between Ayurveda and Yoga in achieving holistic wellness.

An informative session on β€œInfertility and Yoga” was conducted by Dr. Roshni, who explained the role of yoga in improving reproductive health and managing stress-related conditions.

Following this, a yoga demonstration session was led by Dr. Andshi, Yoga Demonstrator at Ayush Health & Wellness Centre, Ezhuvathiruthy. Participants actively engaged in learning various yoga postures and breathing techniques.

The celebration successfully conveyed the essence of yoga and inspired everyone to adopt it as a part of their daily routine for a healthier and more mindful life.
