The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) and Students’ Council of MI Training College successfully organized DECATHLON 2K25, the annual sports and games fest. The event, which began in February, 2025, featured various competitions, including Carroms, Badminton, and Leg Cricket, held on different days within the college campus.

Students were divided into four competing groups—Red, White, Green, and Blue—to foster team spirit and camaraderie. The highlight of the fest was the Athletic Meet, conducted on February 14, 2025, at the Synthetic Track of Chathannoor GHSS. The event saw thrilling competitions in 100m and 200m sprints, 4x400m relay, walking race, long jump, javelin throw, shot put, and other track and field events.

The fest was inaugurated by Lt. Dr. Sakeer M., a former officer in the Indian Army and current Principal of Minority College. Dr. Naseerali M.K., Principal of MI Training College, presided over the event. Anugraha Joshy, Fine Arts Secretary, delivered the welcome address, while Vineetha P., General Captain of the Students’ Council, led the athletes’ pledge. Ashwathy T.S., Chairperson of the Council, extended the vote of thanks. The meet concluded with the National Anthem.

Former faculty of Physical Education Mohammed Prince efficiently led the events, with support from teachers Dr. Ramitha, Dr. Silva, Dr. Salini K.J., Sheheena A.M., Princy T., Ameen Farook U.K., and Mohammed Shareef N.M. Members of the Students’ Media Wing, Thashmeera and Anagha M., diligently captured the event’s key moments through photos and videos.

To ensure the well-being of the participants, the Refreshment Committee provided ORS water, oranges, glucose powder, and other energy supplements. Winners of various events were honored with medals and certificates, celebrating their outstanding performances.

The fest was a grand success, promoting sportsmanship, teamwork, and healthy competition among students.
