The Science Club organized a thought-provoking assembly on 18 October 2024 focused on the significance of “National Speak Up for Victims of Social Abuse Day”. This day serves as a crucial reminder of the importance of raising awareness about social abuse and providing a voice for those who suffer in silence.

ANCHORING AND INTRODUCTION

The assembly began by Nandana m with a warm welcoming to all of the teachers and students. The meeting got underway with a lot of vigour and passion. Together the teachers and students celebrated the day’s events, which included prayer, promises, news, thought, holy thought, presentation and k-tet questions.

PRAYER

Set in a positive note for the day, the gathering began with a meaningful prayer led by Adheela M V and Hana M K.

PLEDGE

Lulu Shahana guided us in taking the Pledge, bringing everyone together to reaffirm our dedication to harmony and unity.

NEWS REPORT

Anagha C.P. took the stage to present today’s news, delivering an engaging and informative update on recent events and happenings.

THOUGHT OF THE DAY

Hanan N K shared a thought from Martin Luther King Jr. that says staying silent about important issues can hold us and society back. This idea emphasizes the need to speak out against injustice because our voices can create change and encourage others to act.

Navya C Provided the Holy Thought, a daily source of inspiration and reflection.

PRESENTATION

Anagha M.P. delivered a presentation on National Speak Up for Victims of Social Abuse. In her talk, she discussed the origins of this day, highlighting its creator and the purpose behind its establishment. The day aims to raise awareness about social abuse and encourage victims to voice their experiences, fostering a supportive environment for healing and change.

P P Ajna Sherin held the informative k-tet session.

CONCLUSION

We celebrated achievements of P P Ajna Sherin’s 2nd rank at the University of Calicut, and recognized Angitha and Manju for securing 2nd and 7th ranks at Sree Sankaracharya University. A cake-cutting ceremony was held in their honor. Sabitha miss, the head of the physical science department, concluded the assembly by expressing her gratitude for everyone’s active participation.
