On 13th September 2024, the Literary Club of MITC organized another enriching session of the Literary Lens review programme through Google Meet. The focus of this session was a review of Attupokatha Ormakal by J.J. Joseph, presented by Thoufira, a B.Ed. student of the 2024-2026 Batch.
The event commenced at 7:30 PM with an introduction to the memoir, which captures the essence of Joseph’s recollections, portraying personal and social histories intertwined. Thoufira provided a well-rounded analysis of the book, highlighting its narrative style and its impact on readers. She emphasized the emotional depth and authenticity that make Attupokatha Ormakal a unique piece of literature.
Thoufira’s presentation was followed by an engaging discussion where participants shared their thoughts and reflections on the themes and writing techniques used by J.J. Joseph. The session concluded with an appreciation for the book’s contribution to Malayalam literature and its relevance in contemporary times.
