Overview

The Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on NAAC Accreditation Essentials was conducted by the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of MI Training College from the 22nd to the 27th of May, 2024. The programme was held online and saw active participation from the faculty of MI Training College as well as faculty members from other colleges.

Resource Person

Dr. Reni Francis served as the resource person for the entire duration of the FDP. With her extensive expertise in the field, Dr. Francis provided comprehensive insights into the NAAC accreditation process. Each session was meticulously planned and executed, focusing on the essential criteria set by NAAC.

Programme Highlights

  • Criterion-wise Discussions: Dr. Reni Francis discussed each of the essential criteria for NAAC accreditation in detail. This included criteria such as curricular aspects, teaching-learning and evaluation, research, innovations and extension, infrastructure and learning resources, student support and progression, governance, leadership, and management, and institutional values and best practices.
  • Interactive Sessions: The programme included interactive sessions where participants could ask questions and engage in discussions. This allowed for a deeper understanding of the accreditation process and its practical applications.
  • Resource Materials: Comprehensive resource materials were provided to all participants, including detailed presentations, reading materials, and templates for various accreditation-related documents.

Participation

The FDP witnessed enthusiastic participation from faculty members of MI Training College as well as other colleges. The online format enabled a wide range of participants to join and benefit from the programme.

Certification

Upon successful completion of the programme, certificates were issued to all participants and the resource person. This served as formal recognition of their participation and the knowledge gained during the FDP.
