An educational tour offers students a unique chance to explore new places, experience diverse cultures, and witness historical landmarks, all while strengthening bonds with their peers. MI Training College, Ponnani organized a five-day educational tour to Hyderabad from 26th February to 2nd March 2023. The trip was designed to provide students with an enriching exposure to the historical, cultural, and modern attractions of Hyderabad.
The journey began on 26th February 2023. Students and faculty members assembled at Tirur Railway Station in the afternoon with great excitement and enthusiasm. The group first boarded a connecting train from Tirur to Shoranur Junction, and from there, they continued their journey on the Sabari Express to Secunderabad. The overnight train journey was filled with joy, group games, songs, and discussions. Faculty members made the experience more meaningful by sharing insights into the historical and cultural significance of Hyderabad, preparing students for what lay ahead.
On the second day, 27th February, the group explored two of Hyderabadβs attractionsβGolconda Fort and Snow City. The day started with a visit to the grand Golconda Fort, renowned for its architectural brilliance and remarkable acoustic features. Students marveled at the Fateh Darwaza, where a clap at the entrance could be heard at the top of the fort, and learned about the fortβs history, particularly its connection to the diamond trade. In the afternoon, the group visited Snow City, a snow-themed amusement park that offered a welcome escape from the city heat. For many students, it was their first time experiencing sub-zero temperatures, ice slides, and snowball fights, making it a day of pure fun and excitement.

Day three, 28th February, was dedicated entirely to the world-famous Ramoji Film City. Known as one of the largest film studio complexes in the world, Ramoji Film City gave students a fascinating look into the world of cinema. They toured massive film sets, watched live performances, explored themed gardens, and learned about the film-making process. The combination of entertainment and education made the visit a highlight of the tour.

On the fourth day, 1st March, the group visited three important landmarks of HyderabadβBirla Mandir, Salarjung Museum, and the iconic Charminar and Mecca Masjid. The day began with a peaceful visit to Birla Mandir, a beautiful white marble temple situated on a hill, offering panoramic views of the city. Next, students explored the Salarjung Museum, which housed an impressive collection of art, antiques, manuscripts, and artifacts from around the world. In the afternoon, the group visited the historic Charminar, the symbol of Hyderabad, where students admired the architectural beauty and learned about its Mughal-era origin. Just nearby, they also visited the Mecca Masjid, one of Indiaβs oldest and largest mosques, which offered a moment of spiritual reflection in a serene atmosphere. The combination of these visits made the day a truly enriching cultural experience. That evening, the group began their return journey.

On 2nd March 2023, the group arrived back home safely. The five-day tour to Hyderabad proved to be a memorable experience for all participants. It provided students with valuable exposure beyond classroom walls, combining education with exploration, culture, and recreation. The tour was a perfect example of how experiential learning can make education more meaningful and enjoyable.
