The four-day community living camp, CAMPOVA 23, commenced with great enthusiasm at MITC Ponnani. The first day began with an inspiring inaugural session, setting the stage for an engaging and transformative experience. The session opened with a warm welcome address by Ameen Farook, the Camp Coordinator, who greeted the participants and dignitaries.

The presidential address was delivered by Ajitha Kumary S, the Principal of MITC, who emphasized the importance of community learning and collaboration. The camp was officially inaugurated by Niyas Chola, a National Teacher Award winner, who encouraged participants to embrace the opportunities for growth and learning. The keynote address was given by Hamza Bin Jamal, the Secretary of MIA, who highlighted the role of innovative teaching methodologies in modern education.

A special highlight of the inaugural session was the book reveal of Nalu Pennungal, authored by Ramsheedha P.A., an alumnus of the 2017-2019 batch. The book was unveiled by Niyas Chola, adding a moment of pride and inspiration to the event. This significant occasion celebrated the literary achievement of an MITC graduate, motivating the attendees to pursue their own creative and intellectual aspirations.

The session also featured felicitations from respected PTA representatives. Baby Vinodini, PTA President of the 2021-23 batch, and Kunjan Bava, PTA President of the 2022-24 batch, conveyed their best wishes for the success of the camp. The session concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Anjana K, the Student Coordinator, expressing gratitude to all dignitaries and participants.

Following the inauguration, the first academic session of the camp, titled “Syllabus Through Music,” was conducted by Niyas Chola from 10:15 AM to 5:00 PM. This engaging session explored how music can be integrated into the syllabus as a creative teaching tool, making learning more enjoyable and effective.

The day celebration for National Science Fiction Day featured activities held from 7:00 PM to 7:30 PM.

The evening featured Feel the Folkies, welcomed by Rashidha P V, followed by a Nadan Patu performance by Priyadarshan and team. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Athira K P, marking a memorable end to the celebration. The camp also celebrated this day with enthusiasm and participation from all.
