The Literary Club of MI Training College successfully conducted the 40th episode of its Literary Lens review programme on 14/03/2025 at 7:30 PM through Google Meet.

In this session, Nandana, M a B.Ed. student, presented a review of “Totto-Chan: The Little Girl at the Window” by Tetsuko Kuroyanagi. The book, a heartwarming memoir, explores the unconventional yet inspiring educational experiences of a young girl in post-war Japan.

Nandana’s insightful review highlighted the book’s themes of alternative education, childhood curiosity, and the importance of nurturing individuality. She eloquently discussed how Tomoe Gakuen, the school in the story, fostered a learning environment that celebrated creativity and personal growth. The session encouraged an engaging discussion on the significance of innovative teaching methods and their relevance in today’s education system.

The programme concluded with an interactive Q&A session, where participants shared their reflections on the book’s impact and its connection to modern educational practices.

The Literary Club extends its gratitude to all participants for making the event a success.
