The sixty-fifth episode of the Literary Lens review series was organized by the Literary Club of MI Training College, Ponnani, on Google Meet at 7:30 PM. The Literary Lens programme continues to provide a creative platform for student teachers to engage in thoughtful literary discussions and to develop a deeper appreciation for literature.

In this episode, Jahana Shirin, a B.Ed. student of the 2025–2027 batch, presented a detailed review of the celebrated Malayalam novel “Aadujeevitham” written by Benyamin. The reviewer eloquently summarized the story of Najeeb, an ordinary man whose life takes a tragic turn as he becomes a victim of exploitation in a foreign land. Through her presentation, Jahana highlighted the novel’s central themes of survival, human endurance, and the struggle for identity.

She also discussed the author’s realistic narrative style, vivid descriptions, and emotional depth that make the novel one of the most impactful works in contemporary Malayalam literature. The presentation was followed by an interactive discussion, where participants shared their views on migration, loneliness, and the universal longing for freedom.

The session concluded with words of appreciation for the reviewer’s excellent effort and presentation. The Literary Club members acknowledged the importance of such programmes in enhancing the reading culture, analytical ability, and communication skills of student teachers.

Overall, Literary Lens – Episode 65 was an engaging and thought-provoking session that left the participants inspired by the powerful message of Aadujeevitham.
