REPORT
Date: 12 March 2025
MI Training College, Ponnani, in collaboration with the National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit, Students Council 2024-2025, and MI Training College Old Students Association (MOSA), successfully organized an Iftar Party on 12 March 2025. The event brought together a diverse group of participants, fostering a sense of unity and togetherness within the community.
The Iftar gathering witnessed the participation of students of MI Training College, alumni, students of the Tailoring Course organized by MI-HRDC, the Management Team, present and former staff members, representatives from schools where MITC students undertake internships, police officers from the neighborhood station, bank managers, media personnel from various media houses, philanthropists, and other distinguished guests. The event served as a platform to strengthen relationships among different sections of society, celebrating the spirit of Ramadan through collective participation.
The program commenced with an introductory session, where representatives from the organizing bodies welcomed the attendees. It was followed by a brief discourse on the significance of Ramadan and the values of compassion, unity, and sharing. As the call for Maghrib prayer echoed, the attendees broke their fast with the specially prepared Iftar meal, which included a variety of traditional delicacies.
Adding to the charitable spirit of the event, the NSS volunteers took the initiative to distribute Iftar kits to travelers at the KSRTC Bus Terminal, Ponnani, in the evening. This gesture was greatly appreciated, as it extended the essence of Ramadan beyond the premises of the college to those in transit.
The event concluded with a note of gratitude from the organizers, acknowledging the efforts of all those who contributed to the success of the Iftar gathering. The MI Training College community looks forward to organizing similar events in the future, reinforcing the values of togetherness and social responsibility.
The Iftar Party of 2025 was not just a communal feast but a reflection of the institutionβs commitment to inclusivity, compassion, and community service.
