The fourth edition of the Edusphere Colloquium Series was successfully conducted online on March 6, 2025, from 12:15 PM to 1:30 PM. The session provided an insightful discussion on “Research Trends and Future Scopes in Indian Knowledge System” and was led by the esteemed scholar Acharya Kandarp Umakant from the Indian Institute of Teacher Education (IITE), Gandhinagar.

The session commenced with introductory remarks by the Principal of MITC, who emphasized the significance of research in the Indian Knowledge System (IKS) and its relevance in contemporary education and interdisciplinary studies. The discussion explored various research trends in IKS, including traditional sciences, indigenous pedagogies, linguistic heritage, Ayurveda, and philosophical discourses.
Acharya Kandarp Umakant elaborated on how the Indian Knowledge System has evolved over centuries, its integration with modern research methodologies, and its potential in contributing to global knowledge paradigms. He highlighted the necessity of preserving and promoting traditional knowledge through academic research, digital documentation, and policy integration.
