The Literary Club of MITC Ponnani successfully conducted Episode 35 of its Literary Lens review program on 7th February 2025 at 7:30 PM through Google Meet. The session featured a review of the acclaimed novel “Meesha” by S. Hareesh, presented by Jamsheena, a B.Ed. student (2023-2025 batch) from the Social Science department.

Jamsheena provided a comprehensive analysis of the novel, delving into its themes, narrative style, and social implications. She highlighted how Meesha portrays the deep-rooted caste and gender hierarchies in Kerala society while weaving a powerful story of human desires and struggles. The discussion also explored the book’s controversial reception and its significance in contemporary Malayalam literature.

The session was engaging, with active participation from students and faculty members. Thought-provoking discussions followed the review, reflecting on the novel’s bold narrative and its impact on readers. The event concluded with an appreciation for Jamsheena’s insightful presentation and the Literary Club’s efforts in fostering literary discourse among student teachers.
