The first day of the camp was very planned and organized. The four-day camp started on 1 January 2025 at 9.30 AM. The first session was an inauguration ceremony. The central attraction of this session was the sub- collector, shri Dilip.K.Kainikkara IAS. Along with the community camp, the inauguration of free tailoring training courses for women was also conducted. The sub-collector inaugurated this human resource department program.

The community living camp; “camp LUMOS” was officially inaugurated by Shri. V. K. M. Shafi, the member of the senate, University of Calicut. This session was presided over by Shri A.M.Abdusabad, the general secretary of M I Association. And Dr. Naseerali. M K, the principal of MITC delivered introductory remarks. Aswathy T S, the chairperson of MITC did felicitation speech and Dr. Silva P , the convenor of the community camp addressed the vote of thanks. The structured inauguration session was successfully conducted and this ended at 11.30 AM.

After the tea break, at 11.45 AM, the next session started. The retired Associate Professor and principal of TMG College, Tirur, Shri. Viju Nayarangadi conducted this session. Shri Anugraha delivered a welcome speech. The changing trends in teaching and the importance of teachers to become a facilitator was the keynote of this session. The modern trends in the teaching-learning process were discussed here. Shahnas P V and Navya C expressed their feedback and Bhavana Bhagyanath expressed gratitude. The session concluded at 1.30 PM.
Lunch tasted more full with meals and fish fry.
After lunch break, the next session, ‘ science beyond limit ‘ was conducted. The session was very wonderful. The world of science was exhibited by the students of physical science under the guidance of the teacher, Dr.Salini K.J. this work was very much appreciable.
Following this session, at 3 PM we started a trip to the Fire station. The next session ‘flames of courage ‘ was conducted at the fire station, Ponnani. Sheheera K H welcomed the session. Various first aid methods and safety methods were practiced here. This session was very informative and helpful to face the emergency situation. Various types of fire, first aid tips, structure usage and many other activities were discussed and practiced. Jamsheena v delivered valuable feedback and Nadeera K K delivered a vote of thanks. After a tea break with them we went back at 6 P M.


After refreshment (6pm – 7pm), the next session, ‘Nadanppaattu’ by the team Kanivu was started. Farzana presided and welcomed the team. This evening session was wonderful and the stress relieved one. Jamsheena expressed gratitude for the team. Following this dinner was served at 9 pm. The meals with chicken fry were delicious and from 10.30 pm onwards the New Year celebration with cultural dance was started. The gift exchange between New year friends made the night memorable and each one printed their palm impression on banners that were impressive and attractive. And the celebration ended with cake cutting and we shared it.
The first day of camp was very impressive, enjoyable, informative and memorable. The day ended with a feedback session at night followed by a delicious dinner prepared by the staff.
Day 2 2/01/25 Thursday
Each day was meticulously planned with diverse activities focusing on physical, mental, and creative growth. The second day of the program was even more vibrant, filled with an exciting array of activities, engaging discussions, and captivating performances that left a lasting impression on all attendees.
The day dawned bright with a revitalizing cup of black tea at 6:00 AM, setting the tone for a refreshing morning.
Second day camp began (6:00am -7:00am) with Nourish Your Soul: Yoga for Wellness led by Rinsha KA, a research scholar from Zamorin Guruvayoorappan College, Kozhikode. This early morning session helped participants rejuvenate their minds and bodies through yoga techniques aimed at fostering mindfulness and relaxation. The session began with a welcome address by Safwa, followed by feedback from Sabeena, and concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Sabeena.




Following this (7:00 am-8:00am), Poushima V P, Assistant Professor at MI Training College, Ponnani, conducted an engaging Dance and Fitness Fusion session. This hourlong activity combined dance and fitness routines, leaving participants energized and motivated.The session began with a welcome address by Manju, followed by feedback from vrindha, and concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Shilna.

After the morning session, breakfast was served, consisting of chapathis and stew. The mid-morning (9:30am-12:30) pm session featured Nadakakalari facilitated by Jishnu. This session introduced students to the traditional art form, blending drama and movement. Participants explored the creative dimensions of body language and storytelling, which are invaluable for future educators. The session began with a welcome address by Aswathy, followed by feedback from Saudha, and concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Ajna Sherin.
At 11:00 AM, we were treated to a refreshing serving of watermelon juice. Lunch was served at 1:00 PM, featuring prawn curry, vegetable curry, cabbage upperi, achar, and pappadam.”

The afternoon session (2:00pm-4:00pm), Elevate Your Expertise, was conducted by Vishnu Prasad MV, Head of Training at Team INSPIRE, Shrishti Campus. This interactive session focused on enhancing professional skills and building confidence, equipping participants with practical tools for their careers.The session began with a welcome address by Nihla, followed by feedback from Jismiya, and concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Fabitha.


At 4:30 PM, tea and avil were served.
The day concluded with (6:30pm-9:00pm) the Candle Cafe, also led by Vishnu Prasad MV. This unique session created an informal and reflective space where participants shared their thoughts and experiences. The activity encouraged open discussions, fostering emotional bonding and teamwork among participants.The session began with a welcome address by Lakshmi, followed by feedback from Aiswarya, and concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Fathima.


A delicious dinner awaited, with a satisfying combination of choru, soft chappathi, chicken roast, and a sweet treat of ice cream at 10am. Overall, the second day of the camp was a perfect blend of wellness, creativity, and skill-building, setting a positive tone for the remaining days of the program
Day 3 03/012025 FRIDAY
Day 3 of the program was a vibrant and eventful day filled with a perfect blend of fitness activities, cultural performances, games, and delicious food that left participants enriched and energized.
The day began at 6:00 AM with a refreshing cup of black tea, preparing the participants for the early morning jogging session led by the Principal. This session set the tone for the day, infusing energy and enthusiasm into everyone.

From 7:00 to 8:00 AM, the “Fit & Fab Aerobics” session was conducted by Dr. Muhammed Azeez V. K, encouraging participants to embrace a healthy lifestyle.


The session started with a welcome address by Ragina Razack and concluded with a vote of thanks by Shifana M, while Hanan N K shared feedback.
At 9:00 AM, a hearty breakfast of puttu, kadala curry, and pazham was served, which fueled participants for the day ahead. Mid-morning, at 11:00 AM, tea and cake were provided, adding a sweet and refreshing break to the schedule.

The highlight of the midday session was “Rhythmic Narratives: Pattum Parachillum,” led by Jose C. C. from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. His storytelling and music captivated the audience, creating an immersive cultural experience. The session began with a welcome by Nandana M and concluded with a vote of thanks by Aswathi T. S. Feedback for this session was shared by Jamsheena V, Ragina Razack, Shahanaz P. V, Thashmeera K. K, Nandana M, and Sumayya C.
Lunch was served at 1:00 PM, featuring a delicious spread of ghee rice, beef curry, gopi manchurian, pulinji, pappadam, and naranga mittayi, which was a feast enjoyed by all.
The evening began with an exciting games session from 5:00 to 6:00 PM, coordinated by Group 1, with Group 3 emerging as the winners. At 4:00 PM, tea and ada were served, providing a perfect snack break.
From 7:00 to 9:30 PM, the much-anticipated “Meet the Talents” session took place. Hosted by Ragina Razack and Sana Zainudheen, the session featured a variety of performances, including songs by Rineesh, Sainudheen, Rafeeq, Shamsu, Babu, Hamsa, Shafi, Kalam, Prabeesh, Abdullahkutty, and Ibrahim; a piano performance by Sameeh; mimicry by Liyana; and a song by Habeeba. This session showcased the immense talent within the group, making it a memorable highlight of the day.
Dinner at 10:00 PM included a traditional and delectable meal of pathiri, egg curry, and beef curry. The day concluded with a lively campfire session from 11:30 PM to 12:30 AM, where participants bonded over music, stories, and camaraderie, creating cherished memories.
Day 3 was a perfect mix of physical activities, cultural expression, and culinary delight, leaving participants inspired and united.
Day 4 ( 4/01/ 2025) Saturday
The fourth and final day of Camp Lumos commenced with a refreshing start at 6:00 am as participants gathered for the “Step Into Fitness” session after having a cup of tea to energize the morning. This early morning jogging session not only invigorated the body but also set a positive tone for the day ahead.
After the jogging session, some students went for freshening up while the rest went to have breakfast including delicious uppuma along with banana and a cup of tea.
The first session of the day titled as “Master Your Money” began at 9:30 am. This session focused on financial literacy, an essential skill for educators in managing personal finances and imparting financial knowledge to students. The session was led by financial experts MA Titten, Prabitha Balachandran, and Sofil Fiyas, who shared valuable insights on budgeting, saving, and investing wisely.
At 11.00 am, the students were served with a pista flavoured drink.
After having the drink, students packed their bags and cleaned their rooms.
Lunch was served at 1:00 PM, featuring mouthwatering chicken biriyani, salad and pickle.
After having lunch, students irrespective of their groups, worked together to clean the kitchen, rooms and college surroundings before going to home.
The day concluded with a reflective session at 4:00 pm, followed by the valedictory ceremony with an alumni Sri. Asnath Manzoor as guest. Participants shared their experiences and learnings from the camp, expressing gratitude for the enriching sessions and the opportunity to connect with fellow B.Ed students and experts.
Overall, the fourth day of Camp Lumos was a perfect blend of physical activity, intellectual stimulation, and practical financial advice, leaving the participants equipped and inspired for their future teaching careers.
