The Literary Lens programme of the Literary Club at MITC featured an insightful review of Sharankumar Limbale’s Akharmashi (The Outcaste), presented by Arya Ravi K. The review was conducted online and attracted a diverse audience, including students and faculty members, all eager to delve into the complexities of Dalit literature

Arya Ravi K began the session by introducing Sharankumar Limbale and his significant contributions to Dalit literature. She highlighted how Akharmashi stands as a powerful autobiographical novel that exposes the grim realities of caste-based discrimination in India. The novel, as Arya explained, not only chronicles Limbale’s personal struggles but also serves as a broader commentary on the societal injustices faced by the Dalit community.
