The Literary Club of our college organized a two-day program named ‘AksharaJalam’ in connection with Reading Day. The event was inaugurated by our esteemed Principal, Dr. Naseerali M.K.
Day 1 Highlights
The first day featured special guests from Ponnani, including renowned writers Ibrahim Ponnani, Nadeer K.V, V.V Ramakrishnan, and Farha Haneef. They each spoke eloquently about the importance of reading in today’s world, highlighting how it enriches our minds and broadens our horizons.
Following the speeches, an interactive session with the students took place. This session was both entertaining and informational, allowing students to engage directly with the writers and ask questions.
In the afternoon, the club organized a quiz competition and a ‘Dumpter Arts’ competition for the students of our college. These events saw enthusiastic participation and showcased the students’ knowledge and creativity.
Day 2 Highlights
The second day of ‘AksharaJalam’ featured an interschool quiz competition and an ‘Adikkurrippu’ competition for upper primary (U.P) level students. Five schools from the Ponnani area participated in the events. The quiz competition consisted of five varied rounds, which added to the program’s success and attractiveness.
Overall, ‘AksharaJalam’ was a resounding success, bringing together students, teachers, and literary enthusiasts to celebrate the joy of reading. The Literary Club’s efforts in organizing such a meaningful and engaging program were highly appreciated by all participants.
